If you have wanted to try Yoga Trapeze, this is a great opportunity to learn how to incorporate it in your Practice. The class winds down with a deep relaxation and meditation. The second half of the class will focus on inversions which offers the options of strength building, deep stretching and core work. There will be an option to use the Trapeze for some of the poses, but not required. The first 30 minutes of class will include discussion of Yoga philosophy, warm ups and asana, allowing the body to teach us about our unique anatomy, as well as our strengths and limitations. This class will combines Chelsea’s love of Classical Yoga and Yoga Trapeze. This class is limited to 5 people and pre-registration is required. The slings and straps bring the floor to you as you start with a familiar warm up, move through some conditioning and a fun flow to end in a relaxing unique floating savasana.

This fun new practice will allow you to deepen into familiar asanas while also toning and strengthening through new poses as well. Take your yoga practice to new levels with the Yoga Body Trapeze ®. Create connection with the body and mind through breath awareness. Pay what you are able or use an already existing monthly pass. This class harnesses the energy of the community. Please bring with you a blanket, a bolster or pillow, yoga blocks and a weighted eye mask if available to you. This class is suitable for all ages, abilities and physical conditions and will complement any of your other mind/body regiments. Benefits of Yoga Nidra practice include stress reduction, management of chronic pain, symptoms of depression and anxiety and relief for insomnia or sleeplessness. Restorative Yoga is a gentle, slow, still type of yoga that invites the body back to its natural alignment while encouraging a release of deep-rooted muscular tension, stress and tightness through the support of props. To complete your total body and mind relaxation we will finish with Yoga Nidra practice. This class offers a combination of classic restorative yoga postures with the deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra. Yoga props are strongly encouraged but not required. We will tailor the practice to meet you where you are in your journey. This class will invite you to connect intuitively with movement, beginning with a morning check in, discussion of yoga philosophy and meditation. Classical yoga is for any body type that would like to move in order to have a higher connection with the self.

By making Yoga philosophy applicable to real life in today’s world, students leave class with an effective understanding of what it means to be healthy, to relax, to live in the full awareness of each moment and to fully enjoy their lives. It becomes a process of personal growth and self-discovery. By applying awareness to our practice of postures, Yoga becomes more than just physical exercise. Although Yoga is best known for its postures, this is only a small part of Yoga. This gentle form of Hatha Yoga is accessible to all. Through the combination of asana (physical postures) and pranayama (breath work), we prepare the body for the deeper spiritual practice of meditation. This hatha yoga class begins with a brief sharing of yoga philosophy which is interwoven throughout the class, allowing the student to understand the holistic science of yoga and bring this awareness into their everyday lives. Students will work on flexibility, gentle strengthening and balance. This class will generally follow the format for Gentle Yoga Flow but is modified for those with reduced mobility, those recovering from injury and anyone who may find it difficult to move from floor to standing and back again. It focuses on low impact, high intensity movements to build strength, and develop agility and flexibility.
